So what is Hermitage? From the webinar? You never told us. This was my answer:
Jackson letters after he purchased The Hermitage were initially addressed as from Rural Retreat. A few months later, Jackson began addressing his letters as from The Hermitage. This evidence suggests that Jackson named the property, but it is not known why he chose the name. Hermitage essentially means a place where a hermit would live.

I love it that you bought an ornament! That’s our family tradition. We buy an ornament as a souvenier wherever go. So each year when we decorate our Christmas tree, it’s a trip down memory lane. Each ornament brings out oohs and aahs as we remember where we bought it and the fun family times we had on that particular trip.

The Hermitage is a great place to visit. We loved going through the house.
