This is Red Guy, the guy who posted the Failure of the Century discussion. At 3 p.m. today, my wife and I are meeting with divorce attorneys.

I am asking for 100 people to pray for us at 3 p.m. eastern time. My name is Ken. Her name is Michelle.

My prayer is that God's Holy Spirit will reign supreme at that meeting.

If you and your wife pray or anyone else prays, please post it hear that you will or you did. I have 34 people who have commited to pray so far. Thank you so much for praying for a stranger.

This would be an awesome opportunity for us to show our loving support for a fellow Familyman.

You may not like to type out your prayers, or you may not have time (I actually am jumping in my truck to rescue my sister-in-law from a dead battery), but it would mean a lot to Ken to leave a brief note that says you are praying for his situation, and will do so again in a few hours.

    Hey Ken,

I have been to edge like you have. I will be on my face before God's throne with you in spirit. God is greater than all of our sins and failures.

Thank you so very much. I was really hoping for a miracle, and when I walked out of there, I was very distrault. As I put my hand in my pocket, I felt the list of more than 100 people there. Maybe that was my miracle. That list came together in less than 3 hours, with some phone work and internet work.

I can't pretend that I am happy about the so-called meeting, but I am pleased that God would put over 100 people in my life that would pray for me on short notice.

Please pray for my wife. She is doing some very ungodly things, and she and our children need a miracle.

Thanks, and thanks again for praying.

Just saw the post, it's not 3:00 but I have prayed for your situation and will continue to do so.

    Hearing Today

Went for custody hearing today. Ex wife showed up. Drove 5.5 hours one way. She hasn't come in 3 years to see the kids, but she drove down for this hearing. She desired to tell the judge what an evil person I am, though we have not interacted in years. The judge asked her how much child support she pays. The ex said none. Judge asked me why. Told her that when we got divorced, and the judge asked me what I thought was fair, I just said what ever the ex wished to contribute.

The judge then presented the ex with an order to pay child support.

THEN: Judge read through the allegations. Judge says to me: "I've been doing this for a while. When I read something like this, I know there's some truth, some half truths, some exaggerations, and some out right lies. My job is to try to get as close to the truth as I can, and sift out what it will take to heal this family."

Familymen, I was absolutely floored. The judge then order a visitation with my children. I am shooting for 3 times a week, starting next week. The place I have to visit the children is in a controlled environment, called Holly Hill. I went straight to the place to take care of the paperwork. The director told me:

"Sir, it is my experience that about half of the dads that have been sent here to visit their children have been accused of things they have not done. Since the judge continued your case out almost 3 months, she thinks something is fishy, and she wants our opinion."

Familymen, thank you so much for your prayers. Thank you, thank you. May God bless you all tonight. It is my prayer and belief that God is in the midst of the problem. Please continue to pray. Patience is so hard.

    Merry Christmas.

    RedGuy,

That is very good news, considering how badly it could have gone.

I encourage you to not let up, to keep pressing into Jesus and asking him to heal your heart and change you for the better.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

    Wife says "Praise God!"

Praise the Lord! The Advocate is intervening!

RedGuy, I pray that you'll continue to be diligent to love and serve your family within the context of these new boundaries; allowing Him to work on your heart and show you new things; all the while, keeping your faith red-hot for God's healing and delivering power to move and bring total reconciliation.

    Standing with you.

    RedGuy,
Rejoicing with you! The guys are right...keep pressing in and on. Love your wife in the limited time you have with her. Don't demand, be patient, and understanding. You're not fighting against her...your fighting FOR her and your family.

It 'aint easy...but you 'da dad!

    RedGuy,
Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a few days, and just read your posts. I'm grateful that God's love has upheld you through the last few days.
    Keep fighting the good fight!

    RedGuy,

Sorry I haven't been on in a while, but I am so blessed by what you have written. Your amazing faith to call out and ask 100 people to pray, having that need met, the outcome of the hearing. WOW! GOD IS SO GOOD!! As the others have said, keep up the good fight. Please add me to the list of those praying for God's will to be done in your marriage. Keep asking people to pray...if 100 praying resulted in this outcome, imagine what more people praying could do!! God hears the prayers of His people and grants us the desires of our hearts.

You are loved and prayed for.

    Blessings,
    Bob

    Gentlemen

Thank you so very much for your prayers. My oldest son took it upon himself to file a petition to remove the epo with his name on it. He represented himself. No coercion from me. You can't imagine the blessing this is. The epo was removed. I also get to see my girls today, who I have not seen since October 5.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

Haven't been able to be on the site for a while, but this is a great read.

I have continued to pray for this situation and, as the other guys here say, what we are hearing is great news.

I encourage you to be humbled by what God is doing, but to remember it is not a done deal, and you are not a completed work. Rejoice in the victories He has given, but continue to seek to become more like Christ and in being healed yourself as well as your family situation. Not trying to throw cold water on a warm spark, but it is easy for each of us, when things start to look good, no matter how small, to quit relying on God and to quit praying. I just want to encourage you in that area. I am thrilled for what God has done for you and your family so far.

Please let us know when the next meetings/hearings/etc are to be held. I would suspect that many of us familymen have cell phones and calendars. If we knew the dates, we could also program in a calendar event to pop up and remind us to pray on a certain day and at a certain time. Personally, I'm finding that to be a good reminder for me. Not a reminder to pray, as we do that a lot, but to pray specifically at a certain time for a certain matter.

Please continue to give us the good reports. They are a blessing.

    Lord Bless

    M's dad

RedGuy, I too haven't been here for a while, way too long. My heart aches for you and your family.
We serve a great God, and He is good. Our prayers are heard and answered, and I will pray for you.

I myself am in a dark moment of my life, troubled waters are immediately ahead, because of my oldest child's poor choices she made, and my wife and I need to confront her.

Hang on, RedGuy, things will get better.

Hi Goldeneagle. My saga was first mentioned under a discussion titled "Failure Of The Century." The men on this forum have been incredibly supportive, and I can testify to the power of men praying. If you look for a couple of discussions under my handle, you will see that I have been, and am, going through the mill. I encourage you to begin a discussion and tell about what is happening, at least as much as you feel comfortable telling. My prayers are that whoever is involved in your situation will follow the wooing of the Holy Spirit. Welcome to the forum, man. You will grow to love it.

THANK YOU RED GUY, I WILL HAVE TO READ THAT SECTION, AND I WILL START A DISCUSSION AT SOME POINT, I FIRST WANT TO EXPLORE THE THINGS AROUND THE WEBSITE.
