Christmas Helps

Hey Dad,

This last week before Christmas is a big one. Just in case you need a little help in filling it with Christmas cheer, here are some ideas:

– make Christmas cookie, Chexmix, or a favorite candy

– carol an older neighbor or friend

– get a couple Christmas videos to watch (see my list)

– take in a light display

– check the paper/community website o see if there are any holiday activities in your area

– get ‘happy hour’ milk shakes at Steak ‘N Shake (we’re doing that this afternoon)

– take your youngest kids Christmas shopping

– get candy canes on your way home from work

– do some Christmas shopping for your wife

– volunteer to help wrap gifts

– call up a distant friend and have the family sing “we wish you a merry Christmas”

– go to a family favorite restaurant

– make your own sundaes

– read the Christmas story

– camp out around the Christmas tree (all night)

– spend all evening in your pjs

That should get you started. The important thing is don’t get caught watching the Christmas-paint dry.
