Finishing Strong - Going the Distance for Your Familly by Steve Farrar
This is an easy read yet very challenging. I began to realize that I’m not much different from the next guy. And you – as the next guy – need to read this book. Steve Farrar reveals the terrible trend in today’s society as men, husbands and fathers start impressively but fail to finish strong. He stresses that it’s not important that you’ve had a great start to your Christian faith, or that you’ve fallen or stumbled in your Christian walk but that you cross the finish line strong.
Early in the book Steve calls for the reader to decide if he will commit to finish strong. He reveals the snags along the way that clutch at your eyes, heart and life. These are the things that will keep you from finishing strong. Then he wraps the book up with a number of examples of men who have finished strong. Some failed to start well, some fell along the way – but each was determined to finish. You’ll find my favorite chapter here: 156 Buck-Naked Miles to Bighorn. It will inspire you.
In the back of the book are a number of questions that make this a great study guide for you alone, or with an accountability group. I challenge you today to go and get a copy of this book and commit to Finishing Strong!
